R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Edinburg Children's Hospital celebrated the fifth |
|
|
anniversary of its establishment on March 26, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Opened in March 2006, the hospital provides general |
|
|
pediatric care, diagnostic cardiology, and surgical services to |
|
|
young people of the Rio Grande Valley; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With a rapidly increasing number of young families, |
|
|
the Valley is one of the fastest growing areas in the state, and as |
|
|
the only children's hospital located south of Corpus Christi, the |
|
|
Edinburg facility eliminates the need for parents to take their |
|
|
children far from home for hospital care and provides an invaluable |
|
|
service to the people of the region; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Edinburg Children's Hospital has made a positive |
|
|
difference in countless lives, and an anniversary commemoration |
|
|
provides a fitting opportunity to recognize the hospital's |
|
|
inestimable contribution to the Rio Grande Valley; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Edinburg Children's Hospital on the fifth |
|
|
anniversary of its founding and extend to all those associated with |
|
|
the institution sincere best wishes for continued success in their |
|
|
important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the hospital as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
