R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Charles and Sharon Gass of O'Donnell |
|
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on February 25, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Charles Gass and the former Sharon Brewer were |
|
|
united in matrimony in Lamesa in 1961; through the years, they have |
|
|
nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with |
|
|
the addition of their children and their spouses, Benny and Cindra |
|
|
Gass, Don and Penny Forbes, and Corey and Sarah Gass, as well as |
|
|
their 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
|
half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|
|
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Charles and Sharon Gass on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Gass as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
