R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 65th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |
|
|
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Jacob and Amelia Way of |
|
|
Lubbock celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on March |
|
|
9, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Jacob E. Way and the former Amelia Evans were joined |
|
|
in matrimony in 1946 at a ceremony held in Toronto; through the |
|
|
years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that includes |
|
|
two children, Douglas Way and the Reverend J. Edson Way III and his |
|
|
wife, Jenny, as well as five grandchildren and six |
|
|
great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Way have enjoyed six and a half decades |
|
|
of abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an |
|
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jacob and Amelia Way on their 65th |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Way as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
