R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
of Edward Maurice Arnold of Bosqueville, who passed away on March 3, |
|
2011, at the age of 91; and |
|
WHEREAS, Edward Arnold was born in Downsville on August 8, |
|
1919, and was raised in Bosqueville, where he spent much of his |
|
life; growing up on a farm, he learned the importance of a strong |
|
work ethic, and he also appreciated the value of an education; he |
|
went on to have a respected career as an accountant; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Arnold enjoyed a loving and fulfilling marriage |
|
with his wife, Minnie Lee, until her passing; a man of strong |
|
religious faith, he was a lifelong member of Bosqueville United |
|
Methodist Church, and his life and actions were guided by his |
|
Christian principles; known for his warm heart and charming smile, |
|
he was deeply devoted to his church and his community; and |
|
WHEREAS, This treasured gentleman delighted in telling |
|
stories about his experiences in the Bosqueville area; his favorite |
|
pastimes as a youth included playing baseball, and through the |
|
years he remained an avid sports fan; and |
|
WHEREAS, Edward Arnold possessed a kind and gentle spirit, |
|
and he will be deeply missed by all those fortunate enough to have |
|
shared in his love and friendship; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Edward Maurice Arnold |
|
and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to |
|
his nephews, Paul Culp, Roland Drewyer, and Jerry Don Drewyer; to |
|
his nieces, Carol Bybee and Jerry Lynne Evans; to his wife's niece, |
|
Wanda Miller; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Edward |
|
Maurice Arnold. |
