R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of Edward Maurice Arnold of Bosqueville, who passed away on March 3,
  2011, at the age of 91; and
         WHEREAS, Edward Arnold was born in Downsville on August 8,
  1919, and was raised in Bosqueville, where he spent much of his
  life; growing up on a farm, he learned the importance of a strong
  work ethic, and he also appreciated the value of an education; he
  went on to have a respected career as an accountant; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Arnold enjoyed a loving and fulfilling marriage
  with his wife, Minnie Lee, until her passing; a man of strong
  religious faith, he was a lifelong member of Bosqueville United
  Methodist Church, and his life and actions were guided by his
  Christian principles; known for his warm heart and charming smile,
  he was deeply devoted to his church and his community; and
         WHEREAS, This treasured gentleman delighted in telling
  stories about his experiences in the Bosqueville area; his favorite
  pastimes as a youth included playing baseball, and through the
  years he remained an avid sports fan; and
         WHEREAS, Edward Arnold possessed a kind and gentle spirit,
  and he will be deeply missed by all those fortunate enough to have
  shared in his love and friendship; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Edward Maurice Arnold
  and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to
  his nephews, Paul Culp, Roland Drewyer, and Jerry Don Drewyer; to
  his nieces, Carol Bybee and Jerry Lynne Evans; to his wife's niece,
  Wanda Miller; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Edward
  Maurice Arnold.
