R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Oakmont Healthcare and Rehab Center of Katy has |
|
|
earned distinction for the high-quality care it offers patients; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Oakmont of Katy was among 32 facilities in Texas |
|
|
recognized in 2009 for outstanding commitment to continuous quality |
|
|
improvement (CQI) with the Step I National Quality Award from the |
|
|
American Health Care Association and the National Center for |
|
|
Assisted Living; the center was subsequently named the Texas CQI |
|
|
Home of the Year in 2010 by its corporate owner, Diversicare |
|
|
Management Services of Tennessee, which has also presented the |
|
|
center with an Innovation Award; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Additionally, Nursing Home Compare, a tool on |
|
|
Medicare.gov, has bestowed a five-star overall rating, its highest |
|
|
ranking, on Oakmont of Katy, and the Department of Aging and |
|
|
Disability Services has given Oakmont a 75 out of 100, a score well |
|
|
above the statewide average for facilities of its kind; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Dedicated to helping patients achieve their highest |
|
|
level of independence, Oakmont Healthcare and Rehab Center of Katy |
|
|
enhances patient confidence through compassionate care and |
|
|
excellent service, and the facility serves as a valuable resource |
|
|
to area families; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Oakmont Healthcare and Rehab |
|
|
Center of Katy on the high ratings it has received and extend to its |
|
|
staff sincere best wishes for continued success in their important |
|
|
work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the center as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
