R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Loved ones are mourning the loss of Andrew Garcia of |
|
Waco, who passed away on March 12, 2011, at the age of 76; and |
|
WHEREAS, "Chito" Garcia was born on November 30, 1934, in |
|
Otto to Joe Marie and Eulojia Fernandez Garcia; he took great pride |
|
in his work maintaining the facilities at a local day care and |
|
brought happiness to others with the warm smile that he always wore |
|
beneath his ever-present black hat; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Garcia was the devoted father of 8 children, |
|
Victoria, Angie, Eva, Rita, Denise, Tony, Michael, and Andrew, and |
|
over the years, he knew the joy of welcoming 23 grandchildren and 18 |
|
great-grandchildren into his family; and |
|
WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Chito Garcia |
|
will remember the way he touched their lives with his kindness and |
|
his friendship, and he will forever hold a treasured place in their |
|
hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Andrew "Chito" |
|
Garcia and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: |
|
to his daughters and sons-in-law, Angie and Randy Guidry, Eva and |
|
Ray Sisneroz, Rita and Guadalupe Calderon, and Denise Cruz; to his |
|
sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Garcia and Andrew and Maria |
|
Garcia; to his sisters, Anita Aguilar, Ophelia Jimenez, and Jovita |
|
Hernandez; to his brother, Ray Garcia; to his grandchildren and |
|
great-grandchildren; and to his other relatives and friends; and, |
|
be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Chito |
|
Garcia. |
