H.R. No. 1284
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of James Douglas Ivy of Waco, who passed away on March 18, 2011, at
  the age of 60; and
         WHEREAS, A veteran of the U.S. Army, Jimmy Ivy was employed by
  the Brazos River Authority for eight years; he then changed fields
  to become a mechanic, and he thrived in his new line of work; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Ivy met the love of his life, the former Joyce
  McCurdy, in 1969, and the couple were married the following year;
  together they raised four children, Timbo, Jason, Misty, and Tanya;
  and
         WHEREAS, In his free time, Mr. Ivy enjoyed the company of his
  loved ones and indulging in his favorite pastimes of hunting,
  fishing, camping, and playing poker with his Aunt Lucy and Uncle
  Leonard; and
         WHEREAS, Although he is deeply missed, Jimmy Ivy will forever
  hold a treasured place in the hearts of all those who had the good
  fortune to know him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of James Douglas Ivy and
  extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
  Joyce Ivy; to his children, Timbo and Stephanie, Jason and Kristal,
  Misty and Daniel, and Tanya; to his brother, Joe Ivy; to his sister,
  Darlene Farmer, and her husband, Roy; to his grandchildren, Arron,
  Renee, Kayla, Whitney, Rusty, Heather, Jason, Sasha, and Christal;
  to his great-grandchildren, Jimmy and Robert; and to his other
  relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jimmy Ivy.
