R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Christina Swanson, a sales manager with the Waco |
|
|
Convention and Visitors Bureau, passed the Certified Meeting |
|
|
Professional exam in 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Established by the Convention Industry Council in |
|
|
1985, the Certified Meeting Professional program is designed to |
|
|
enhance the knowledge and performance of those in the meeting, |
|
|
conference, and convention industry; in order to qualify for the |
|
|
examination, candidates must have accumulated a minimum number of |
|
|
years of work experience and must provide evidence of continuing |
|
|
education or relevant internships; more than 14,000 individuals |
|
|
worldwide have earned the credential; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Swanson works with government, corporate, |
|
|
social, military, fraternal, and ethnic groups in her position as |
|
|
convention sales manager; in addition, she represents the Waco |
|
|
Convention and Visitors Bureau in the Society of Government Meeting |
|
|
Professionals; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Christina Swanson may indeed take pride in her |
|
|
latest achievement, and it is a pleasure to recognize this |
|
|
noteworthy milestone in her career; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Christina Swanson on passing the |
|
|
Certified Meeting Professional exam and extend to her sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Swanson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
