R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The certain knowledge of a life well lived may
  temper the profound sadness that the death of Elizabeth Jones
  Genovese of Woodway on March 17, 2011, brings to all who loved her;
  and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Mary Morris and Ollie Jones,
  Elizabeth Jones was born in Corsicana and attended schools in
  Mexia; she earned her bachelor's degree from Baylor College for
  Women in Belton and later her master's degree from Columbia
  University; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Genovese enjoyed a notable career in business
  in New York, where she worked in public relations and personnel with
  Standard Oil Company, Standard Brands, and International Executive
  Service Corps; she was active in her community as a volunteer and
  also held membership in several religious, civic, and service
  organizations; and
         WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Mrs. Genovese enjoyed the love
  and support of her husband, Clarence Thomas Genovese, who preceded
  her in death; and
         WHEREAS, Although Elizabeth Genovese is deeply missed,
  cherished memories of time spent in her company will long endure in
  the hearts of her family and friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Elizabeth Jones
  Genovese and extend sincere condolences to her great-nephews, Blake
  and Clay Merrell, and to all who mourn the death of this beloved
  woman.
