R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, John Henry "Jack" Schmalstieg IV of Boy Scouts of |
|
America Troop No. 151 in Georgetown has attained the rank of Eagle |
|
Scout, and this accomplishment truly merits special recognition; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |
|
honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |
|
scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |
|
criteria, Mr. Schmalstieg earned the requisite 21 merit badges, and |
|
for his Eagle Scout project he built clothing racks to hold |
|
donations at the Annunciation Maternity Home; and |
|
WHEREAS, A freshman at The University of Texas at Tyler, this |
|
fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability |
|
throughout his scouting career, winning the respect and admiration |
|
of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the highest rank that |
|
scouting offers; and |
|
WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Schmalstieg's dedication to excellence |
|
and his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him |
|
worthy to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect |
|
with pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jack Schmalstieg on achieving the |
|
rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Eagle Scout Schmalstieg as an expression of high |
|
regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
