R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A 65th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
  mutual devotion and shared experiences, and the Reverend Milton
  Jochetz and Wanda Jochetz of Stanton celebrated this joyous
  milestone in their marriage on March 11, 2011; and
         WHEREAS, Milton Jochetz and the former Wanda Jean Vaughan
  were joined in matrimony in 1946 at a ceremony held at the First
  Christian Church in Slaton; they are the parents of three children,
  Tommy Jochetz, Paula Millhollon, and the late Sandra Kay Kizziar,
  and their family has grown to include 12 grandchildren and 14
  great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Reverend Jochetz attended McMurry Methodist College
  and the Perkins Divinity School of Southern Methodist University;
  his 40-year career as a minister in the United Methodist Church
  started in Hawley while he was still a student, and then included
  churches in Krum, Texline, Borger, Sweetwater, Clarendon, Gruver,
  Seymour, Andrews, and Stanton; and
         WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Reverend
  Jochetz has been active in the Lions Club, the Methodist Men's
  group, and the Masons, and he was a member of the Andrews Chamber of
  Commerce; Mrs. Jochetz served as a Sunday school teacher, and she
  has been active in the Methodist Women's group, the Garden Club in
  Andrews, and the Andrews Chamber of Commerce; and
         WHEREAS, Reverend and Mrs. Jochetz have enjoyed six and a
  half decades of abiding love and affection for one another, and they
  are among an exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a
  lasting commitment; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Reverend Milton Jochetz and
  Wanda Jochetz on their 65th wedding anniversary and extend to them
  sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Reverend and Mrs. Jochetz as an expression of high
  regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
