R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Dennis and Becky Edwards of Midland |
|
|
celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on March 6, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Dennis Edwards and the former Becky Lowrey were |
|
|
united in matrimony at Normandy United Methodist Church in |
|
|
Centerville, Ohio, in 1971; through the years, they have nurtured a |
|
|
fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with the |
|
|
addition of two daughters, Stefanie Greer and Samantha Krieger, and |
|
|
three grandchildren, Parker, John, and Rebekah; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. and Mrs. |
|
|
Edwards have lived in Midland for seven years after previously |
|
|
residing in Virginia and the Carolinas; Mr. Edwards served as the |
|
|
CEO of TESSCO from 2003 until 2010 and now holds the same position |
|
|
with a construction company in Oklahoma; he also consults in |
|
|
mergers and acquisitions and enjoys playing golf and traveling; |
|
|
Mrs. Edwards is a homemaker who delights in cooking and enjoys |
|
|
Precept Bible studies; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
|
four decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|
|
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Dennis and Becky Edwards on their |
|
|
40th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Edwards as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
