R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The untimely death of James Gillaspie of Tokio on |
|
March 9, 2011, at the age of 57, has deeply saddened his family and |
|
friends; and |
|
WHEREAS, James Gillaspie was born in Waco on November 30, |
|
1953, to Raford J. and Eula Mae Gillaspie; he graduated from West |
|
High School in 1971 and went on to serve his country as a member of |
|
the United States Army; and |
|
WHEREAS, Returning home, Mr. Gillaspie pursued truck driver |
|
training with the American Truck Driving School and subsequently |
|
became a driver for Central Freight Lines and the Wal-Mart |
|
Distribution Center; he was a dedicated member of the Ridin' High |
|
Cowboy Church in China Spring; and |
|
WHEREAS, James Gillaspie enjoyed a life that was rich in the |
|
intangibles that matter most, and he is deeply missed by all those |
|
who held him dear; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of James Gillaspie and |
|
extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his mother, |
|
Eula Mae Dekle; to his stepson, Terry A. Slagel; to his |
|
stepdaughters, Kim Slagel, Margie McCommas, and Stacie Miller; to |
|
his brothers, Mickey L. Gillaspie and his wife, Debbie, and Jerry |
|
Ray Gillaspie and his wife, Michelle; to his stepsisters, Leann |
|
Goedeka, Pam Richardson, Lisa Machowiak, and Shawn Shafer and her |
|
husband, Mike; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of James |
|
Gillaspie. |
