R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
|
of Doris Lee Breeding Jones of Waco, who passed away on March 17, |
|
|
2011, at the age of 85; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born to Dennis and Gladys Breeding in Hillsboro on |
|
|
May 19, 1925, Doris Breeding married Jim Jones and with him shared a |
|
|
fulfilling relationship that was blessed with two children, Denny |
|
|
and James; over the years, the couple also experienced the joy of |
|
|
welcoming into their family three grandchildren and two |
|
|
great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Jones was very active in her community, serving |
|
|
as president of McLennan County Republican Women and holding |
|
|
membership in the Historic Waco Foundation and the Order of the |
|
|
Eastern Star; in addition, she was a valued congregant of First |
|
|
United Methodist Church of Waco; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Doris Jones lived a caring and purposeful life, and |
|
|
she will forever be remembered with great affection by all who had |
|
|
the good fortune to know her; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Doris Lee Breeding |
|
|
Jones and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to |
|
|
her husband, Jim Jones; to her daughter, Denny Gay Patterson; to her |
|
|
son, James Joseph Jones; to her three grandchildren and two |
|
|
great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and friends; and, |
|
|
be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Doris |
|
|
Jones. |
