R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Shirley Chadwick received the Distinguished |
|
|
Lifetime Achievement Award from the Mineola Chamber of Commerce on |
|
|
February 15, 2011, and her selection for this honor is indicative of |
|
|
the positive effect she has had in the community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The former manager of the Mineola chamber, Shirley |
|
|
Chadwick took what she thought would be a temporary position with |
|
|
the organization and stayed for 24 years; throughout her tenure, |
|
|
she worked diligently to promote the economic growth and |
|
|
development of the Wood County city; though now retired from the job |
|
|
she loved, she remains involved in chamber activities and serves as |
|
|
an advisor; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In all of her endeavors, Mrs. Chadwick enjoys the |
|
|
support of her husband, Gene, and her sons, Chad and John David, and |
|
|
she also takes great pride in her five grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The strength of our communities depends on |
|
|
individuals like Shirley Chadwick, whose tireless work in behalf of |
|
|
area residents and businesses has contributed immeasurably to the |
|
|
quality of life in Mineola; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Shirley Chadwick on her receipt of |
|
|
the Distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award from the Mineola |
|
|
Chamber of Commerce and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mrs. Chadwick as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
