R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  death of George Milton Keller of Mason on March 2, 2010, at the age
  of 75; and
         WHEREAS, George Keller was born on his family's Loma Vista
  ranch, 12 miles south of Mason, on May 1, 1934, and he grew up with a
  deep appreciation of the land and country life; in his youth, he
  worked on the ranch and formed a lifelong bond with a group of high
  school friends who called themselves the James River Cowboys; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Keller attended Texas A&M University before
  serving his country as a member of the United States Navy; one
  evening in San Antonio, he had the good fortune to meet a young
  Canadian nurse on vacation, and less than a year later, he and the
  former Janet Hayes were married; the couple were blessed with five
  children, Michael, Mark, John, Laura, and Kathryn, and with the
  passing decades, the family grew to include 10 grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, For many years, Mr. Keller ran Mason County Farm
  Bureau Insurance, and it was widely known that his word was his
  bond; he greatly enjoyed working as a guide during hunting season
  and relished the camaraderie he shared with his fellow guides; and
         WHEREAS, In 2000, he was ordained as a deacon and began
  serving the members of St. Joseph Parish by performing baptisms,
  weddings, funerals, and other duties; and
         WHEREAS, George Keller's life was centered around his family,
  his faith, and his friends, and he will forever be remembered with
  admiration and affection by all who had the good fortune to know
  him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of George Milton
  Keller and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to
  his wife, Janet Hayes Keller; to his sons, Michael Keller and his
  wife, Juanita, Mark Keller and his wife, Lisa, and John Keller and
  his wife, Sherry; to his daughters, Laura Keith and her husband,
  Shane, and Kathryn Ray and her husband, Chad; to his grandchildren,
  Logan, Mason, Lauren, Hayden, Tyson, Tristin, Cameron, Lauren,
  Keller Ann, and George; to his sisters, Rosemary Kruckemeyer and
  Sue Forestello; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of George
  Keller.
