R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  death of Igor Kaleri of El Paso on April 4, 2011, at the age of 84;
  and
         WHEREAS, Born in Liebling, Romania, on November 21, 1926, Mr.
  Kaleri emigrated to Sao Paulo, Brazil, during World War II; while
  there, he met and married the love of his life, the former Laura De
  Silveira Garcia; the couple had 51 wonderful years together until
  her passing and shared in the joy of welcoming three daughters and
  two sons; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Kaleri earned his living as a civil engineer and
  his work took him and his family to El Paso in 1961; during a career
  that spanned more than 40 years, he distinguished himself with his
  intellect and attention to detail, and he served as a mentor to many
  colleagues; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Kaleri was a devoted family man who treasured
  nothing more than time spent in the company of his loved ones;
  moreover, he appreciated a good joke and a delicious meal; and
         WHEREAS, Igor Kaleri will long be remembered for his positive
  attitude, his wit, and his joie de vivre by all those who were
  privileged to share in his love and friendship; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Igor Kaleri and extend
  sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his children, Vera
  Cancellare, Marco Kaleri, Igor Kaleri, Jr., Hilda Clark and her
  husband, Chris, and Laurie Tomberlin and her husband, Mike; to his
  15 grandchildren; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Igor
  Kaleri.
