R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the |
|
death of Igor Kaleri of El Paso on April 4, 2011, at the age of 84; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Born in Liebling, Romania, on November 21, 1926, Mr. |
|
Kaleri emigrated to Sao Paulo, Brazil, during World War II; while |
|
there, he met and married the love of his life, the former Laura De |
|
Silveira Garcia; the couple had 51 wonderful years together until |
|
her passing and shared in the joy of welcoming three daughters and |
|
two sons; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Kaleri earned his living as a civil engineer and |
|
his work took him and his family to El Paso in 1961; during a career |
|
that spanned more than 40 years, he distinguished himself with his |
|
intellect and attention to detail, and he served as a mentor to many |
|
colleagues; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Kaleri was a devoted family man who treasured |
|
nothing more than time spent in the company of his loved ones; |
|
moreover, he appreciated a good joke and a delicious meal; and |
|
WHEREAS, Igor Kaleri will long be remembered for his positive |
|
attitude, his wit, and his joie de vivre by all those who were |
|
privileged to share in his love and friendship; now, therefore, be |
|
it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Igor Kaleri and extend |
|
sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his children, Vera |
|
Cancellare, Marco Kaleri, Igor Kaleri, Jr., Hilda Clark and her |
|
husband, Chris, and Laurie Tomberlin and her husband, Mike; to his |
|
15 grandchildren; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Igor |
|
Kaleri. |
