R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Ann Alotto received the 2010 Woman of the Year and |
|
Humanitarian of the Year awards from the Mineola Chamber of |
|
Commerce on February 15, 2011; and |
|
WHEREAS, The president of the Mineola Lions Club, Ann Alotto |
|
assists with Casseroles-to-Go, an ongoing fundraiser for the Lions |
|
and the local library; she is also the vice president of the Mineola |
|
Pilot Club, an international service organization that focuses on |
|
brain-related disorders; in addition, she is a director of Caring |
|
and Sharing, a Christmas initiative, and has served as chair of the |
|
group's holiday campaigns for the past two years; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Alotto has lived in Mineola for about seven |
|
years, establishing a new business and overseeing the family farm, |
|
and she takes great pride in her two children, Rick and Regina, and |
|
two grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, The strength of our communities depends on |
|
individuals like Ann Alotto, whose tireless work in behalf of area |
|
residents has contributed immeasurably to the quality of life in |
|
Mineola; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ann Alotto on her receipt of the |
|
2010 Woman of the Year and Humanitarian of the Year awards from the |
|
Mineola Chamber of Commerce and extend to her sincere best wishes |
|
for continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Alotto as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
