R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |
|
|
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Ronnie and Vicki |
|
|
Buchanan of Hallsville celebrated this joyous milestone in their |
|
|
marriage on February 18, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sweethearts at Hallsville High School, Mr. and Mrs. |
|
|
Buchanan were joined in matrimony in 1961 at a ceremony held at the |
|
|
Church of Christ in Hallsville; through the years, they have been |
|
|
blessed with a treasured family that includes two children and |
|
|
their spouses, Ronnelle and Robby Bridges and Brandy and Stephanie |
|
|
Buchanan, as well as four grandchildren, Macy and Case Buchanan and |
|
|
Rayven and Rustin Bridges; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Buchanan graduated from the Texas A&M University |
|
|
Auctioneering Institute, and in addition to cattle ranching, he |
|
|
works with several area livestock commission companies; Mrs. |
|
|
Buchanan attended Louisiana Tech University and The University of |
|
|
Texas at Tyler and is employed as a cosmetology instructor at |
|
|
Kilgore College; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Buchanan have enjoyed five decades of |
|
|
abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an |
|
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ronnie and Vicki Buchanan on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Buchanan as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
