R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Ronnie London retired from his position as executive |
|
|
director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wichita Falls on April 8, |
|
|
2011, drawing to a close a notable 47-year tenure with the |
|
|
organization; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of Wichita Falls, Mr. London became a |
|
|
member of the local club when he was six, and his first paying job |
|
|
was working in the locker room of the central branch; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. London has long been committed to the mission of |
|
|
the Boys & Girls Clubs, recognizing the importance of making a |
|
|
difference in the lives of each participant, and he has also helped |
|
|
to raise money for other youth organizations that he supports; he |
|
|
looks forward to going fishing and to traveling the country to see |
|
|
his 17 grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ronnie London has made immeasurable contributions |
|
|
to his community, and he may indeed reflect with great pride on his |
|
|
noteworthy accomplishments as he embarks on the next exciting |
|
|
chapter of his life; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ronnie London on his retirement as |
|
|
executive director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wichita Falls and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. London as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
