R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and |
|
meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the loved ones of |
|
Olivia Vallejo Calderon, who passed away on February 24, 2011, at |
|
the age of 80; and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Olivia Calderon was |
|
born in Valentine on June 11, 1930, the second of four children of |
|
Irene and Feliciano Vallejo; on March 6, 1950, she wed Eliseo B. |
|
Calderon, and the couple shared more than six decades of marriage; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Calderon was devoted to her family, which |
|
included her daughter, Jessica, as well as three grandchildren, |
|
Reymundo, Rodolfo, and Elizabeth Irene; and |
|
WHEREAS, Cherished by many, Olivia Calderon will be fondly |
|
remembered and deeply missed by those who were privileged to share |
|
in her friendship and affection; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Olivia Vallejo |
|
Calderon and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: |
|
to her husband, Eliseo B. Calderon; to her daughter, Jessica |
|
Monclova, and her husband, Randy; to her grandchildren, Reymundo, |
|
Rodolfo, and Elizabeth Irene Monclova; to her brothers, Rodolfo |
|
Vallejo and his wife, Josie, and Reynaldo Vallejo; to her sister, |
|
Ofelia Brown; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Olivia |
|
Vallejo Calderon. |
