R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and
  meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the loved ones of
  Virginia Loraine Baker of Alpine, who passed away on March 11, 2011,
  at the age of 85; and
         WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Virginia Baker was
  born in Waco on January 7, 1926; she had a notable career as a
  teacher, and she touched many young lives during her time in the
  classroom; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Baker was devoted to her family, which included
  three children, Sue, Rick, and Kelly, as well as six grandchildren
  and three great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Cherished by many, Virginia Baker will be fondly
  remembered and deeply missed by those who were privileged to share
  in her friendship and affection; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Virginia Loraine
  Baker and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to
  her daughter, Sue Light, and her husband, James; to her sons, Rick
  Baker and Kelly Baker and his wife, Trava; to her six grandchildren;
  to her three great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Virginia
  Loraine Baker.
