R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and |
|
meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the loved ones of |
|
Virginia Loraine Baker of Alpine, who passed away on March 11, 2011, |
|
at the age of 85; and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Virginia Baker was |
|
born in Waco on January 7, 1926; she had a notable career as a |
|
teacher, and she touched many young lives during her time in the |
|
classroom; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Baker was devoted to her family, which included |
|
three children, Sue, Rick, and Kelly, as well as six grandchildren |
|
and three great-grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, Cherished by many, Virginia Baker will be fondly |
|
remembered and deeply missed by those who were privileged to share |
|
in her friendship and affection; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Virginia Loraine |
|
Baker and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to |
|
her daughter, Sue Light, and her husband, James; to her sons, Rick |
|
Baker and Kelly Baker and his wife, Trava; to her six grandchildren; |
|
to her three great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and |
|
friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Virginia |
|
Loraine Baker. |
