R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Edna Posada is being honored as a Shining Star of |
|
|
Hidalgo County on April 26, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Shining Star Awards are presented by the Zonta |
|
|
Club of West Hidalgo County, an organization working to advance the |
|
|
status of women through service and advocacy; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Recognized for her professional contributions to |
|
|
the community, Ms. Posada is the president and owner of Aldani, |
|
|
Inc.; since forming the company in 1989, she has opened three Merle |
|
|
Norman Cosmetic Studios and three Spa La Posada locations; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In addition to providing employment to nearly two |
|
|
dozen women, Ms. Posada is active in a number of organizations that |
|
|
encourage and assist women in business; she has shared her |
|
|
knowledge as a mentor and earned many awards for her efforts; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A dedicated and respected entrepreneur, Edna Posada |
|
|
is committed to supporting the professional women of South Texas, |
|
|
and her selection for this honor brings well-deserved recognition |
|
|
to her record of achievement; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Edna Posada on being named a |
|
|
Shining Star of Hidalgo County by the Zonta Club and extend to her |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Posada as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
