R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, ERO Architects of McAllen has much to celebrate as |
|
the firm has earned a number of notable commendations; and |
|
WHEREAS, ERO and its chief executive officer, Eli Ochoa, were |
|
named one of the Top Five Small Businesses for 2010 by the McAllen |
|
Chamber of Commerce; and |
|
WHEREAS, Also in 2010, ERO Architects was selected to receive |
|
the prestigious State of Texas Small Business Award from the Office |
|
of the Governor; the company was singled out in the categories of |
|
Business Skills and Model for Business Skills Use; and |
|
WHEREAS, Yet another honor is being realized in May 2011, |
|
when ERO's chief designer, Manuel Hinojosa, is being inducted into |
|
the American Institute of Architects College of Fellows; this |
|
distinction is bestowed on only three percent of the organization's |
|
members, and Mr. Hinojosa is just the third architect from the Lower |
|
Rio Grande Valley AIA chapter to be so named in the past 60 years; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, The strength of our state's economy is greatly |
|
influenced by the vision and ingenuity of exceptional small |
|
businesses such as ERO Architects, and the firm's officers and |
|
staff may take justifiable pride in their accomplishments; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Eli Ochoa, Manuel Hinojosa, and the |
|
other members of the ERO Architects team on their recent |
|
recognitions and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued |
|
success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for the company as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
