R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever cherish their
  memories of Carie Jean Dodson Buck of Waco, who passed away on March
  27, 2011, at the age of 75; and
         WHEREAS, Born on September 28, 1935, in Rosebud to Joseph
  Marion and Lillie Mae Schlemmer Dodson, Carie Jean Dodson was
  raised in Waco and graduated from Waco High School in 1953; she
  later worked at the Owens-Illinois glass plant and James Connally
  Air Force Base, and lived in Japan, San Francisco, Fort Worth, Big
  Spring, and Shreveport, where she was employed as a substitute
  teacher; and
         WHEREAS, She married Jonnie Lee Buck, with whom she had two
  beloved sons, Marion and Henry; in addition to spending time with
  her family, Ms. Buck enjoyed traveling with her companion of 30
  years, Marvin Jones; in 2008, she returned to Waco, where she became
  a member of Grace Temple Baptist Church; and
         WHEREAS, Carie Jean Buck lived a caring and purposeful life,
  and she will always be remembered with great tenderness and
  affection; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Carie Jean Dodson
  Buck and extend deepest sympathy to the members of her family: to
  her son, Henry Joseph "Bucky" Buck; to her brother, Harold Dodson,
  and his wife, Carolyn; to her sisters, Margie Good and her husband,
  George, and Kathy Baulos and Pat Pophin; to her brother-in-law,
  Leonard Neumann; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Carie Jean
  Dodson Buck.
