R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
|
of Jessie Faye Johnson of Waco, who passed away on March 26, 2011, |
|
|
at the age of 85; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born in Clinton, Arkansas, on August 10, 1925, to |
|
|
Jess and Maggie Smith, the former Faye Smith wed Winford Johnson on |
|
|
December 25, 1947; they enjoyed a rewarding marriage of more than 60 |
|
|
years until his passing on August 25, 2008; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Johnson was blessed with two daughters, Sherry |
|
|
and Mary Ann, as well as three grandchildren and three |
|
|
great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Mrs. Johnson |
|
|
will remember the way she touched their lives with her wonderful |
|
|
smile and her fun-loving, vivacious spirit, and she will forever |
|
|
hold a treasured place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Jessie Faye Johnson |
|
|
and extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her |
|
|
daughters and son-in-law, Mary Ann Thurman and Sherry and Bob |
|
|
Cragen; to her three grandchildren, Sean Thurman, Kelly Preddy, and |
|
|
Andi Cragen; to her three great-grandchildren, Morgan, Jackson, and |
|
|
Sadie Thurman; to her sister, Jo Taylor; and to her other relatives |
|
|
and friends; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Faye |
|
|
Johnson. |
