R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Countless lives were touched by the kindness and
  generosity of Donna Ann Shelton, who passed away on March 24, 2011,
  at the age of 79; and
         WHEREAS, Born on January 1, 1932, in Franklin to Raymond and
  Mary Pirtle, the former Donna Ann Pirtle attended schools in the
  Blue Ridge Community and in Bremond; and
         WHEREAS, She married James Marion Shelton on December 23,
  1948, and the couple enjoyed a rewarding relationship for nearly
  six decades until his passing in 2006; Mrs. Shelton was the devoted
  mother of seven children, Dennis, who preceded her in death, James,
  Richard, Rodger, Thomas, Debra, and Jeanelle; through the years,
  she knew the joy of welcoming 16 grandchildren, 2
  step-grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren into her family;
  and
         WHEREAS, A longtime resident of the Stranger Community, Mrs.
  Shelton was retired from B-K Auto Supply in Marlin; in addition to
  serving on the board of directors of the Stranger Community
  Cemetery Association, she belonged to the Stranger Community
  Church; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Shelton left an indelible impression on all who
  knew her, and those who shared in the warmth of her affection will
  forever hold her close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Donna Ann Shelton
  and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
  children and their spouses, James and Renee Shelton, Richard and
  Judy Shelton, Rodger and Jean Shelton, Thomas Shelton, Debra and
  Bill Atomanczyk, and Jeanelle and Tom Greene; to her
  sisters-in-law, Bobbie Lyon and her husband, Walter, and Bernice
  Pirtle; to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and to her
  other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Donna Ann
  Shelton.
