R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Meghan Mullens has been elected president of the
  Greater Waco Aggie Club for a two-year term beginning in April 2011;
  and
         WHEREAS, Supported by dedicated alumni, the Greater Waco A&M
  Club provides a forum to foster the Aggie spirit in the community
  and works to raise money for the institution and for scholarships
  for area students; and
         WHEREAS, A 2004 graduate of Texas A&M University, Ms. Mullens
  brings a wealth of leadership experience to her new position; she
  has previously served as community development director for the
  City of McGregor and as chamber executive vice president, and she
  currently works as the event planner for Ridgewood Country Club;
  and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Mullens has further benefited area citizens as
  special events chair of the Waco Young Professionals, a program of
  the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Bonnie and Jimmy Mullens, Meghan
  Mullens exemplifies the finest qualities of A&M alumni, and she
  will serve as a positive and effective ambassador for her alma mater
  in her new role; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Meghan Mullens on her election as
  president of the Greater Waco Aggie Club and extend to her sincere
  best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Mullens as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
