R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five |
|
|
decades, Kenneth and Geneva Bolen of Waco celebrated their 50th |
|
|
wedding anniversary on March 17, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bolen met on Austin Avenue in Waco, and |
|
|
they exchanged the vows of matrimony in Coryell City on that |
|
|
memorable day in 1961; over the course of their marriage, they have |
|
|
found in each other a devoted life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Bolens count among their blessings a fine family |
|
|
that includes three children and their spouses, Kimberly and Mark |
|
|
Goolsby, Kendra and Jerry Tucker, and Randal and Dotti Bolen, as |
|
|
well as six grandchildren, Brooke, Megan, Julia, Joshua, Jacob, and |
|
|
Kennedy, with whom they treasure sharing the many special occasions |
|
|
of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past five decades, Kenneth and |
|
|
Geneva Bolen can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and |
|
|
know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that |
|
|
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Kenneth and Geneva Bolen on their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Bolen as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
