R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Patricia |
|
E. Barkley of Robinson, who passed away on March 19, 2011, at the |
|
age of 66; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on February 4, 1945, to Irene Evelyn Mooer and |
|
David Clinton Crockett, Patricia Barkley was a student at Robinson |
|
High School and later worked at the Marathon Battery Company in |
|
Waco; she loved shopping and attending auctions and was an avid |
|
collector of M&M's memorabilia; in addition, she adopted and |
|
fostered many cats; and |
|
WHEREAS, In all of her endeavors, Mrs. Barkley enjoyed the |
|
support of her husband, Kenneth, and she also experienced the joy of |
|
welcoming 4 children, 3 stepsons, 15 grandchildren, and 3 |
|
great-grandchildren into her family; and |
|
WHEREAS, Patricia Barkley made a positive difference in the |
|
lives of all those who were privileged to know her, and she will |
|
always be remembered with great tenderness and affection; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Patricia E. Barkley |
|
and extend deepest sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
husband, Kenneth Jackson Barkley; to her daughters, Teresa Gail |
|
Wilkerson and Evelyn Vera and her husband, Johnny; to her son, |
|
Charles David Oliver; to her stepsons, Robert Jackson Barkley and |
|
his wife, Darlene, Troy Thomas Barkley and his wife, Jennifer, and |
|
Daniel Rush Barkley; to her sisters, Mary Joyce Wells and her |
|
husband, Travis, and Peggy Jo Gottwald and her husband, Bernie; to |
|
her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and to her other |
|
relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Patricia E. |
|
Barkley. |
