R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The wisdom and experience of centenarians are a |
|
|
source of enduring inspiration, and it is indeed a pleasure to honor |
|
|
Letha Avery of Waco for having joined this elite group of Texans; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born on March 13, 1911, Ms. Avery has seen her own |
|
|
story play out against the backdrop of a uniquely eventful period in |
|
|
history; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through the years, she has enriched the lives of |
|
|
those around her with her kind and caring ways, and she has in turn |
|
|
been blessed with decades of wonderful memories; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Letha Avery holds a special place in the hearts of |
|
|
her loved ones, and she may reflect with great satisfaction on a |
|
|
century of life well lived; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Letha Avery on the remarkable |
|
|
milestone of her 100th birthday and extend to her sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Avery as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
