R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Dr. Mark Neeley of the First Baptist Church of
  Mineola received the Lou Mallory Historical Preservation Award on
  February 15, 2011; and
         WHEREAS, Named for the chair of the Wood County Historical
  Society, the Lou Mallory Historical Preservation Award was created
  in 2011 and presented to Dr. Neeley in recognition of the
  outstanding leadership he has demonstrated in the renovation of the
  old Dr Pepper Bottling Company building on North Johnson Street for
  use as a student center at First Baptist Church; and
         WHEREAS, Mark Neeley grew up in Lindale, graduated from
  Baylor University, and earned master's and doctoral degrees in
  divinity and ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological
  Seminary in Fort Worth; he served as pastor of the First Baptist
  Church in Hitchcock before moving to Mineola in 1990; and
         WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Dr. Neeley enjoys the love
  and support of his wife, Peggy, a public school teacher, and his
  daughters, Sarah and Sally; and
         WHEREAS, Dr. Mark Neeley has worked to preserve the rich
  cultural history of Mineola while also providing area youth with a
  much-needed community center, and his efforts are indeed deserving
  of recognition; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. Mark Neeley on his receipt of
  the Lou Mallory Historical Preservation Award and extend to him
  sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Dr. Neeley as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
