R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, A delegation from Northeast Christian Academy in |
|
|
Kingwood is visiting the State Capitol on May 16, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Founded in 1993 by Dr. Kenneth Stone, Northeast |
|
|
Christian Academy is accredited by the Association of Christian |
|
|
Schools International and the Southern Association of Colleges and |
|
|
Schools; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Today, the institution offers classes for nearly 200 |
|
|
students in prekindergarten through 12th grade; under the able |
|
|
guidance of head of school Brad Baggett, the school benefits the |
|
|
wider community, as well, by administering a food pantry, blood |
|
|
drives, and shelters for women and families; students also perform |
|
|
yard work for the elderly; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Committed to providing high-quality, faith-centered |
|
|
education, Northeast Christian Academy is helping its students |
|
|
succeed personally and academically, and in so doing, it is |
|
|
building a solid foundation for their future achievement; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby welcome members of the Northeast Christian |
|
|
Academy community to the State Capitol and extend to them sincere |
|
|
best wishes for an informative and memorable visit to Austin; and, |
|
|
be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
