R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A life made rich through meaningful service drew to |
|
a close when Irwin Ira Steinberg of Irving passed away on |
|
April 9, 2011, at the age of 84; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Steinberg graduated from the U.S. Military |
|
Academy at West Point in 1950 and went on to serve with distinction |
|
as a member of the army; during his tenure, he earned the rank of |
|
first lieutenant and was awarded the Bronze Star for his |
|
exceptional work in behalf of his country; and |
|
WHEREAS, Devoted to his family, Mr. Steinberg enjoyed many |
|
happy years with his wife, Mary; he cherished his sons, Laurence and |
|
Andrew, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Benjamin, |
|
Malcolm, and Madeline; and |
|
WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in the friendship |
|
and love of Irwin Steinberg will always remember him with great |
|
admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Irwin Ira Steinberg |
|
and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his |
|
wife, Mary Jabin Steinberg; to his sons, Laurence Steinberg and his |
|
wife, Wendy, and Andrew Steinberg and his wife, Roxann; to his |
|
grandchildren, Benjamin, Malcolm, and Madeline Steinberg; to his |
|
sister, Dorothy Gottesman; and to his other relatives and friends; |
|
and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Irwin Ira |
|
Steinberg. |
