R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends of Donny Cardenas were deeply
  saddened by his untimely passing on April 11, 2011, at the age of
  38; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Edinburg, Donny Cardenas earned his
  bachelor's degree in English from The University of Texas--Pan
  American, where he was president of Phi Sigma Kappa; he
  participated in Leadership Edinburg and was a highly respected
  member of his community; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Cardenas was married to the former Marissa
  Lindsey, and he was the loving father of three sons, Nicolas,
  Samuel, and Noah; he was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church; and
         WHEREAS, Although his life ended far too soon, Donny Cardenas
  will always be remembered for his sense of humor and ability to make
  each friend feel special, and all those who shared in his love may
  take comfort in their memories of the many happy times spent in his
  company; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Donny Cardenas and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
  Marissa Lindsey-Cardenas; to his sons, Nicolas and Samuel Cardenas;
  to his parents, Don and Mimi Cardenas; to his sister, Myssie
  Cardenas-Barajas, and her husband, Xavier; and to his other
  relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Donny
  Cardenas.
