R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the Sulphur Springs Chamber of Commerce |
|
|
Adult Leadership Class are visiting the State Capitol on May 10, |
|
|
2011, to gain further insight into the workings of state |
|
|
government; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The adult leadership class is an exceptional |
|
|
nine-month program that provides opportunities for participants to |
|
|
develop leadership skills and increase their knowledge of important |
|
|
public issues; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Meetings inspire the spirit of activism and cover |
|
|
such topics as the local economy, education, county government, law |
|
|
enforcement, health, and tourism; since its establishment in 1989, |
|
|
the program has graduated nearly 400 participants; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Endeavoring to foster a more informed and involved |
|
|
citizenry and to develop new leaders in North Texas, the Sulphur |
|
|
Springs Leadership Class is helping to build a brighter and more |
|
|
promising future for the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby welcome the members of the Sulphur Springs |
|
|
Chamber of Commerce Adult Leadership Class to the State Capitol and |
|
|
extend to them sincere best wishes for a memorable visit to Austin; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
