R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Christina Yampanis of Dallas received a 2010
  Director's Community Leadership Award from the Federal Bureau of
  Investigation at a ceremony in Washington, D.C., on March 25, 2011;
  and
         WHEREAS, With its Director's Community Leadership Award, the
  FBI recognizes those individuals who benefit the public through
  violence prevention and education efforts as well as through
  achievements in combating terrorism, cyber crime, the illegal drug
  trade, and gang activity; and
         WHEREAS, Tina Yampanis works for the North Texas Crime
  Commission, an organization based in the Dallas area that strives
  to increase communication between federal, state, and local law
  enforcement, representatives from the business, education,
  government, and media fields, and North Texas citizens; and
         WHEREAS, Active in her community, Ms. Yampanis volunteers at
  the Austin Street Centre for the homeless and at the Denton State
  Supported Living Center for adults with disabilities; in addition,
  she has participated in the Mayor's Back to School Fair for
  underprivileged children, and she co-chairs an initiative
  sponsored by the Salvation Army that provides Christmas presents to
  the needy; and
         WHEREAS, The commitment of public-spirited citizens such as
  Tina Yampanis contributes greatly to the quality of life enjoyed by
  residents of the Lone Star State, and this prestigious honor is a
  fitting tribute to Ms. Yampanis and her notable achievements; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Tina Yampanis on her receipt of a
  2010 Director's Community Leadership Award from the Federal Bureau
  of Investigation and extend to her sincere best wishes for
  continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Yampanis as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
