R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Shania Wright has been elected treasurer of the |
|
|
board of the Sienna and East Fort Bend Democrats Club; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Established by civic-minded individuals from Sienna |
|
|
Plantation, the Sienna and East Fort Bend Democrats Club provides a |
|
|
forum where local citizens may address concerns while staying |
|
|
informed on the political process; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The organization is committed to advocating for all |
|
|
area residents, regardless of party affiliation, and aims to make a |
|
|
lasting difference in the community by promoting Democratic Party |
|
|
principles of social justice, meeting the needs of all people, and |
|
|
acting in the local, state, and national interest; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through her dedicated work with the Sienna and East |
|
|
Fort Bend Democrats, Ms. Wright is contributing greatly to the |
|
|
group's continued growth and achievements and is setting an |
|
|
outstanding example of civic engagement; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Shania Wright on her election as |
|
|
treasurer of the board of the Sienna and East Fort Bend Democrats |
|
|
Club and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Wright as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
