R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, Five members of the West High School boys' |
|
|
basketball team received District 8-3A honors for their |
|
|
accomplishments during the 2010-2011 season; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In recognition of their outstanding on-court |
|
|
performance, Holden Sykora and Erran Mays were named to the |
|
|
all-district second team, while Kevin Adkins and Justin Sepeda |
|
|
earned honorable mentions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Holden Sykora further distinguished himself by |
|
|
being selected for the district all-academic team, and he was |
|
|
joined in that honor by his brother, Kyler Sykora; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Awards such as these are the result of hard work, |
|
|
talent, and commitment to excellence, and these exemplary |
|
|
student-athletes may take justifiable pride in their achievements; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the all-district athletic and |
|
|
academic honorees from the West High School Trojans basketball team |
|
|
and extend to them best wishes for continued success in all their |
|
|
endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the players as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
