R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The passing of Victor D. "Bud" Wiley, Jr., of Waco, |
|
on March 13, 2011, at the age of 59, has deeply saddened his family |
|
and many friends; and |
|
WHEREAS, Bud Wiley was born on September 24, 1951, in |
|
Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Victor D. and Bette M. Wiley; answering |
|
his nation's call to duty, he served as a member of the U.S. Air |
|
Force during the 1970s; and |
|
WHEREAS, Demonstrating an adventurous spirit, Mr. Wiley |
|
pursued a variety of outdoor activities; he enjoyed skiing while |
|
stationed in Germany, and he learned to surf while living in Hawaii |
|
for six years; and |
|
WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in the friendship |
|
and love of Bud Wiley will fondly remember this fun-loving man and |
|
the characteristic twinkle in his eye and mischievous grin on his |
|
face; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Victor D. "Bud" Wiley, |
|
Jr., and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to |
|
his sisters, Barbara Ann Wiley Jones and her husband, Patrick, and |
|
Patricia Carol Wiley Von Dohlen and her husband, Tim; to his nieces, |
|
Kelly Allen and her husband, Lembo, Mary Elisabeth Denmon and her |
|
husband, Brandon, and Rebecca Rather; to his nephew, Patrick Jones, |
|
Jr.; to his great-nephews, Colton Denmon and Hunter Whittle; to his |
|
great-niece, Logan Elisabeth Denmon; and to his other relatives and |
|
friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Victor D. |
