R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A life made rich through meaningful accomplishments
  drew to a close with the death of Milton Roy Overgoner of Belton on
  March 12, 2011, at the age of 65; and
         WHEREAS, Milton Overgoner was born in Hallettsville on August
  12, 1945, to Herbert and Lorene Overgoner; after graduating from
  Hallettsville High School, he attended Victoria College, and he
  served his nation as a member of the United States Air Force; and
         WHEREAS, During a notable 33-year career with the U.S. Postal
  Service, Mr. Overgoner worked in Pasadena, Victoria, and Waco, and
  he distinguished himself in a number of positions, including clerk,
  letter carrier, and mail handler; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Overgoner married the former Marjorie Lumpkins
  on July 16, 1971, and the couple shared a rewarding relationship
  that continued for nearly four decades; he was a loving father to
  his children, Brian and Tawnya, and took great pride in his two
  grandchildren, Brooke and Blake; he was also a valued member of the
  Belton Church of Christ; and
         WHEREAS, Although Milton Overgoner will be deeply missed,
  memories of his kind heart and gentle nature will forever remain a
  source of inspiration for his family and friends; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Milton Roy Overgoner
  and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his
  wife, Marjorie Overgoner; to his son, Brian Overgoner, and his
  wife, Ricka; to his daughter, Tawnya Miller, and her husband,
  Heath; to his grandchildren, Brooke and Blake Miller; to his
  sister, Merle Jones, and her husband, Ralph; and to his other
  relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Milton
  Overgoner.
