R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Clarence and Charlotte Carpenter of Waco celebrated |
|
|
their 60th wedding anniversary on March 16, 2011, and they may |
|
|
indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have |
|
|
shared; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In a ceremony performed by the bride's |
|
|
brother-in-law, the Reverend Aaron Barker, Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter |
|
|
exchanged the vows of matrimony at Central Christian Church in Waco |
|
|
in 1951; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The couple count among their blessings a fine family |
|
|
that includes five children, Mark, Bart, Donna, Gahlen, and ZoeAnn, |
|
|
as well as 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, with |
|
|
whom they share the many special occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For six decades, Clarence and Charlotte Carpenter |
|
|
have brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, |
|
|
and it is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Clarence and Charlotte Carpenter |
|
|
on their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
