R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Constable Adan Ballesteros and Sergeant Dwight |
|
|
Bertram of Travis County Precinct 2 have been recognized by the |
|
|
Central Texas Justices of the Peace and Constables Association; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, CTJPCA works to promote and protect the interests of |
|
|
the justices of the peace, constables, deputies, and clerks of 28 |
|
|
counties in Central Texas, while also providing training and other |
|
|
opportunities for its members; the association's annual awards |
|
|
honor individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment |
|
|
to the association, their profession, and their communities; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Constable Adan Ballesteros has been named the 2011 |
|
|
Constable of the Year; a former president of CTJPCA, he played a |
|
|
vital role in the growth of the organization and continues to |
|
|
distinguish himself as a local leader in public safety; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sergeant Dwight Bertram has been selected as the |
|
|
2011 Deputy of the Year, reflecting the high regard in which he is |
|
|
held by his colleagues; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, These two exemplary public servants are inspiring |
|
|
role models to their fellow peace officers, and they are indeed |
|
|
deserving of commendation for their hard work and dedication; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Constable Adan Ballesteros and |
|
|
Sergeant Dwight Bertram on their recognition by the Central Texas |
|
|
Justices of the Peace and Constables Association and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success in their important work; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Constable Ballesteros and Sergeant Bertram as an |
|
|
expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
