R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, William A. Callegari III of Houston is joining the |
|
ranks of an elite group in May 2011, as he graduates from The |
|
Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Callegari has excelled academically while |
|
earning his bachelor's degree in history, receiving recognition on |
|
the Dean's List as well as on the President's List and the |
|
Commandant's List, which honor leadership in addition to scholastic |
|
achievement; moreover, his high grade point average and class |
|
ranking have earned him membership in the Phi Alpha Theta National |
|
History Honor Society; and |
|
WHEREAS, During his notable college career, Mr. Callegari has |
|
served in such command positions as company recruiting corporal, |
|
battalion administrative NCO, and battalion operations officer, a |
|
role in which he supervised and trained 500 cadets; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Callegari has further distinguished himself on |
|
the institution's lacrosse team, serving as captain, assistant |
|
coach, president, vice president, and webmaster of the group; he |
|
has also been a valued participant in sword arch activities and the |
|
Knights of Columbus, and he has contributed to a national |
|
collegiate lacrosse magazine and the school's newspaper; and |
|
WHEREAS, Committed to excellence in all of his endeavors, |
|
William Callegari may reflect with pride on his many |
|
accomplishments as he looks forward to a future bright with |
|
promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate William A. Callegari III on his |
|
graduation from The Citadel and extend to him sincere best wishes |
|
for continued success in all of his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Callegari as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
