R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to |
|
|
commemorate May 1 through 7, 2011, as Public Service Recognition |
|
|
Week; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Honoring public administrators who serve in |
|
|
federal, state, and local government, this annual event is |
|
|
sponsored by the American Society for Public Administration, an |
|
|
organization that promotes professional development for public |
|
|
administrators, educators, and students; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each year, the group's CenTex chapter honors |
|
|
individuals who have made exceptional contributions in their field, |
|
|
presenting awards for Public Administrator of the Year, Emerging |
|
|
Public Administrator Professional of the Year, Elected Official of |
|
|
the Year, Public Administrator Educator, as well as for research in |
|
|
the field of public administration; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Public administrators are dedicated to improving |
|
|
the quality of life for their fellow citizens, and their vital work |
|
|
helps to make the Lone Star State a better place in which to live and |
|
|
work; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby recognize May 1-7, 2011, as Public Service |
|
|
Recognition Week in Texas and honor all those associated with this |
|
|
worthwhile event. |
