R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Katherine Ruth Seitz of Dallas has attained the Girl |
|
|
Scout Gold Award, the organization's highest commendation, and she |
|
|
was honored for her accomplishment in a special ceremony on May 1, |
|
|
2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, To earn this distinction, Ms. Seitz successfully met |
|
|
a series of requirements emphasizing community service, personal |
|
|
and spiritual growth, positive values, and leadership skills; in |
|
|
addition, she planned and implemented a Girl Scout Gold Award |
|
|
project that will have a positive and lasting impact in her |
|
|
community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By helping young women to build confidence, explore |
|
|
career opportunities, and become more socially conscious, the Girl |
|
|
Scout program equips its participants with skills that will benefit |
|
|
them throughout their lives; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The maturity and dedication that Ms. Seitz has |
|
|
demonstrated in pursuit of her goals truly exemplify the highest |
|
|
ideals of the Girl Scout organization, and she indeed merits |
|
|
special recognition for her achievement; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Katherine Ruth Seitz on her receipt |
|
|
of the Girl Scout Gold Award and extend to her sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Seitz as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
