R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Amelia Catherine Mugavero of Dallas has attained the |
|
|
Girl Scout Gold Award, the organization's highest commendation, and |
|
|
she was honored for her accomplishment in a special ceremony on May |
|
|
1, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, To earn this distinction, Ms. Mugavero successfully |
|
|
met a series of requirements emphasizing community service, |
|
|
personal and spiritual growth, positive values, and leadership |
|
|
skills; in addition, she planned and implemented a Girl Scout Gold |
|
|
Award project that will have a positive and lasting impact in her |
|
|
community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By helping young women to build confidence, explore |
|
|
career opportunities, and become more socially conscious, the Girl |
|
|
Scout program equips its participants with skills that will benefit |
|
|
them throughout their lives; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The maturity and dedication that Ms. Mugavero has |
|
|
demonstrated in pursuit of her goals truly exemplify the highest |
|
|
ideals of the Girl Scout organization, and she indeed merits |
|
|
special recognition for her achievement; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Amelia Catherine Mugavero on her |
|
|
receipt of the Girl Scout Gold Award and extend to her sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Mugavero as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
