R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Carson Elizabeth Brown of Houston is celebrating a
  significant milestone in her life on May 28, 2011, as she graduates
  from Episcopal High School; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Brown has distinguished herself as a four-year
  member of the cross country team and as a participant in Students of
  Service, and she was the senior class mentor and speaker at the 2010
  freshman class retreat; she has been admitted to the University of
  Mississippi; and
         WHEREAS, This talented young woman has already embarked on a
  career as a professional actress, having appeared on the television
  series ER, a TV pilot, Protect and Serve, and the feature films Even
  Money and Shannon's Rainbow; she has also worked as a host and
  on-air correspondent for KTBU Houston's Teen Scene and High School
  Sports Live programs; and
         WHEREAS, In addition, Ms. Brown has found time to give back to
  her community as a volunteer for Ski Masters Summer Camp, the March
  of Dimes, and the Houston Children's Charity Toys for Tots program;
  and
         WHEREAS, Carson Brown may reflect with pride on her many and
  varied accomplishments and look with anticipation toward a bright
  and promising future; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Carson Elizabeth Brown on both her
  graduation from Episcopal High School and her admission to the
  University of Mississippi and extend to her sincere best wishes for
  continued success and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Brown as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
