R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of Richard David Jones, Jr., on April 25, 2011, at the age
  of 72; and
         WHEREAS, The first child of Frances Carter and Richard
  D. Jones, Sr., Richard Jones was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, on
  April 12, 1939; in 1979, he married the former Josephine Patterson,
  and together the couple lovingly raised seven children; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Jones worked for Reed Boot Company in Houston
  for many years, and he was active in his community as a member of
  Tabernacle of Praise Family Worship Center; and
         WHEREAS, Richard Jones treasured the time he spent in the
  company of his family and friends, and those he leaves behind will
  in turn cherish their memories of this kind and caring man; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Richard David Jones,
  Jr., and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to
  his children, Kenneth Patterson, Sharon Thomas Brown and her
  husband, Kenneth, Regina Lawrence and her husband, Ricky, Richard
  Patterson and his wife, Maudina, Sony Winzet and her husband,
  Curtis, Reginal "Bo" Patterson, and Cheryl Christoffersen; to his
  sisters, Mary Frances Jones-Harris, Connie Wade-Hamilton, Peggy
  Ann Wade-Web, Joann Watch, Barbara Roberts, Andrea Jones, and
  Audrey Jones; to his brothers, Curtis Wade, Jr., Randy Jones, Troy
  Jones, and Marlow Jones; and to his other relatives and friends;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Richard
  David Jones, Jr.
